What do I need?

We recommend not to use bodylotion or crème 1 or 2 days before training, otherwise you lack grip on the pole.

It is the most convenient to wear short pants and a top without sleaves or a sports top during training. Often we wear long pants when warming up or cooling down. Shoes are not neccessary, however it is nice to bring a towel for when your hands are slippery.

During training a container with magnesium powder is always present, for providing extra grip on your hands when needed. Many poledancers like to use liquid magnesium for extra grip, this exists in many brands and varieties, but this is not a prerequisite for when you’re training.
